At St Paul’s; our worship caters for the “very young” to the “not so young” but young at heart. St Paul’s is not just a Sunday morning church. We offer services at 10.30am and on certain Sundays in the month 4pm and 6.30pm. (Please see Dairy page for more details).
St. Paul’s Church was built in 1844 to cater for those living on the east side of Macclesfield. Its tall spire is a landmark feature on the Macclesfield skyline, close to the railway station and to Macclesfield Marina.
A Statement by the Bishop of Chester Concerning Simon Marsh, Former Vicar of St. Paul’s, Macclesfield, 1990 – 1996
As the country at large continues to experience political and economic uncertainty in the absence of any firmly established will in Parliament for a particular Brexit settlement, it is timely that the theme of our Lenten and Holy Week reflections this year is ‘reconciliation’.
We offer a Wednesday morning service at 10.00am. There are always small groups meeting during the week, all offering a cup of tea-coffee and a chat. There any many different ways in which we can worship God, St Paul’s offers small sessional bible study courses and all are welcome.
The parish center hosts many activities during the week, Toddler Group, Uniform Groups. Youth Church, Community choir. Pilates and Yoga. All details are on the Groups page.

St Paul’s Prayer
Father, in the busyness of our lives, may we make time each day
to be still in your presence.
In the stillness, may we find the light and peace of your beloved Son,
the risen Christ, who brings healing and wholeness –
that fullness of life which is your longing for all your children.
May we, your family at St Paul’s, be united in prayer, worship and witness,
as a living temple to your glory, now and always.
